Welcome to the 39th annual Piper Classic High School Hockey Tournament. John Taylor is proud to host another in a series of successful high school athletic events. This year twelve teams will compete for the Piper Classic hardware. I would personally like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to our tournament organizers Justin Steeves, Gavin Mclachlan, Troy Smukowich, and all of our tournament volunteers, both staff and parents for their time, dedication, and commitment to this cause. Thanks also to the variety of community businesses that have sponsored our event. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Whether you are a player, coach, fan, or official I trust that you will enjoy your Piper Classic experience. Coaches, I hope your team is looking forward to some keen post-holiday competition and that the Piper Classic will be the springboard to the triumphant conclusion to your regular season and the start of a strong playoff run.

Players, not many events promote school spirit like our national pastime. I wish you a successful tournament and I hope that you play with skill, speed, strength, and respect for your teammates, opponents, and officials.
